Farmingdale Public Library with Marion Nostrand as its first librarian and a budget of $300,000

Active in the Civil Defense during World War II, quipping a complete bomb shelter in the old Veterans Hall
Funded the fountain on the Farmingdale Village Green
Quilted and exhibit a handmade quilt in the Farmingdale Village Hall
Donated the kitchen unit at the Farmingdale Village Hall
Initiated plantings along Main Street
Erected a visitors Welcome Sign and a gazebo and landscaped the apex on Melville Road and Main Street (now known as the 5 Corners)
Beautification and landscape of Merritt Road and Hempstead Turnpike at the train trestle
Purchased a bench on Village Green and dedicated to "Art in the Park"
